There follows a small selection of the jobs which we have successfully handled in the recent past. In the last 12 years we have completed about 75 deals Sales/Purchases/Mergers, plus a number of consultancy assignments.

We assist practices of all kinds from £8K to £8M and wherever they are in the UK.

Jobtel specialises in selling and buying accountancy practices. Jobtel prepare a separate marketing plan and targets for each new assignment. Each project is carried out afresh.

Generally we work on success related commissions but are willing to undertake assignments based on a per hour charge. Ask for a quote. We advise firms on alliances. We assist in merger negotiations. We carry out Commercial Due Diligence on behalf of buyers.

We value practices in all sorts of circumstances – Partner entry, Partner Split, Transfer price for Ltd Co format, Sole Practitioner death. This is usually for a fixed price.. ask for Quotation

2006

  • Aug  - Nottingham £35K fees, seller ill sold to another Nottingham sole practitioner
  • May - Sheffield block of £21K fees seller consolidating to fewer branches to Local Practitioner
  • April - High Wycombe Bookeeping & Accs Practice £60K sold to a local CAs firm
  • February - South West Valuation for firm £900K for possible sale, or buy-in.
  • February - East London Sole practitioner £47K. Sold to start-up practitioner

2005

  • December - Grantham/Stamford – Lincs £90K sold to a parallel firm locally.
  • August - West London, Greenford £80K (after Death) Sole Practitioner sold to a local buyer in 6 weeks
  • August - Support to two firms who have been approached with offers from larger buyers.(on the clock)
  • August - Barnsley- Yorks, £140K Sole Practitioner. Sold to a Sheffield practice.
  • July - Alfreton Notts, Marshall & Co £300K sole practitioner. Sold to a Derby Practice.
  • June - Notts. Valuation carried out for potential manager buy-in to firm.
  • May - Peterborough. Emmerson & Co £110K sole practitioner. Sold to a partner in a larger firm
  • May - Doncaster, £60K CA firm sold to a nearby practice. Jobtel acted for the buyer

2004

  • Nov - Chesterfield Derbys, Martin Bruno Ltd a £400K practice sold to a Derby firm
  • Sept - Lichfield – valuation of practice for buy-in to a deceased’s practice
  • Sept - Salisbury £110K firm merged with a larger Surrey practice
  • Aug - London – part of a commercial due diligence team £3M practice Winters merging with £1M firm
  • Jul - Pinner Middlesex, Burnham & Co. £330K firm merged with large Middlesex practice
  • Jul - Surrey £17K sole practitioner, retirement, sold to another Surrey sole practitioner

  • Apr - Bedford practice c£220K sold to Summers & Co a local practice
  • Apr - Segger, an £80K Norwich practice sold to another Norwich firm
  • Apr  -Dacosta, an Ilford CAa firm £60K sold to a local Ilford firm

2002

  • Oct  -Assignment to improve profitability of £1M North-West firm
  • Apr - Commercial due diligence on a target North East company on behalf of a buyer
  • Apr - Introduction of main parties for Vantis, GRF £2M North East + GRF £9M London. AIM flotation. Following this Jobtel have a “watching brief” looking for potential target firms.
  • Apr - Valuation for the introduction of a new equity partner, formerly salaried partner London area
  • Apr - Derbys/Notts firm Hyett & Langfield - £250K – sold to a Nottingham firm
  • Mar - Newport Shropshire - £200K – satellite of Birmingham firm – sold to a Stoke on Trent firm

2001

  • Dec - Smith - Hucknall, Notts £100K – sold to a Nottinghamshire firm
  • Sep - Miller & Robinson – Mansfield Notts £130K – sold to a Yorkshire firm
  • Aug - Audit Clients only of £50K of a firm in Birmingham – sold to another Birmingham firm
  • Jun - Valuation for retiring partner – Jobtel are asked to carry out several valuations every year
  • May - Martin Ross – London GRF £160K sold to Wilkins Kennedy – London Apr G E Corpe – South Shields £60K sold to Willis Scott – Sunderland

  • Dec - Crewe, Staffs firm - fees £50K sold to a Winsford firm Owner was ill. Sale completed in 4 weeks.
  • Aug - Angland O’Keefe - Twickenham (Gross Fees £60K) sold to Goddard & Co – London
